The School Day

Morning Session: 08.45am - 11.45am
Afternoon Session: 12.25pm - 3.25pm

The Nursery gates are opened at 08.45am and 12.25pm respectively when the nursery staff will greet the children and are available to speak to parents to answer brief queries.

Morning Session: 9.00am - 12noon
Lunch Break: 12noon - 1.00pm
Afternoon Session: 1.00pm - 3.15pm

Key Stage One (KS1)

Morning Session: 8.55am - 12.00pm
Lunch Break: 12.00pm - 1.00pm
Afternoon Session: 1.00pm - 3.20pm
  • A Senior member of staff unlocks the gate at 8.45am to allow access for pupils and parents to the playground and remains on duty until after 9.00am when they are also responsible for locking the gate.
  • Children may go into school once their teacher or Teaching Assistant has come into the playground. The whistle is blown at 8.50am to indicate the start of the school day and that parents should leave the playground to enable the gate to be locked.
  • It helps your child to settle into class comfortably and join in with the early morning activities if he/she is brought to school on time.
  • Children become anxious if they are last to be collected at the end of the day so please arrive promptly to meet them.
  • If there is a change to the arrangements for collection a specific slip should be completed by the parent and handed into the class teacher. Parents must inform the office if a last minute change has to be made. We can only take direction from a child's own parent.

Key Stage Two (KS2)

Morning Session: 8.50am - 12.30pm
Lunch Break: 12.30pm - 1.30pm
Afternoon Session: 1.30pm - 3.25pm
  • A Senior member of staff unlocks the gate at 8.40am to allow access to pupils. They will blow a whistle at 8.45am to indicate that the children must enter their class rooms. Staff will remain on duty until they lock the gate at 8.50am. Parents do not enter the playground in the morning in KS2.
