Clubs for the new school year!
We are delighted to be able to offer our usual full range of extracurricular clubs for the autumn term for children in Years 1 through to 6 with something for everyone including sport, art and crafts, singing and keyboards, science, computing, chess, and languages. Bookings are now open!
At Fern Hill, we offer a wide range of extracurricular clubs for children in Years 1 through to 6. These run after school and over lunchtime during the school day.
After School & Lunchtime Clubs for the Autumn Term

Clubs are available to children in Year 1 – 6 only.
Clubs run for 12 weeks, starting the week of Monday 13th September except for Gardening Club which runs for the first half-term only and Spanish Club which runs for 10 weeks and start on Wednesday 22nd September.
Due to the three INSET days in October (Wednesday 20th — Friday 22nd October inclusive), clubs that run on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays will have their last session during the week of 13th December. The week of Monday 13th December is also a catch-up week for other clubs when any cancelled sessions will be made up.
All after school clubs run from 3:30 – 4:30 pm, except those marked as a ‘lunchtime club’ in the schedule above which run during the school day. If your child is attending a lunchtime club, you must provide them with a packed lunch from home on that day.
Clubs marked ‘apply directly’ in the schedule above are run by external providers. Bookings for these clubs are made directly with the providers and not school. For further information and contact details for these providers, click here.

Payment for school run clubs must be made online through ParentPay at the time of booking. We strongly recommend that you pay for your club/s first on ParentPay and then complete the Application Form. Your child’s place will not be secure until you have made payment.
In the interests of fairness to all families, if a club is oversubscribed, priority will be given to children who are not already attending another after school club at Fern Hill. We recommend that children attend a maximum of three clubs (including those run by external providers) a week, particular younger children who find the school day tiring at the start of the school year.
Please note that club places may be allocated on a first come, first served basis and will only run if minimum numbers are reached. You will not receive confirmation of the club you have booked — we will only contact you if your child has been unsuccessful in getting a place in which case they will be held on the waiting list and you will be informed if and when a place becomes available. Sessions are non-refundable.
Children must wear shin pads and long socks in order to participate in the football clubs. If they arrive for a session without this equipment, they will not be able to play.

If your child is in Year 6 and you would like them to travel home alone after their club, you MUST inform the school office in writing before their first club session. If you are booking a school run club you must also give your consent to this on the Extracurricular Clubs Application Form.
