The School Day

Nursery

Morning session — Daisy AM	8:45 – 11:45 am
Afternoon session — Daisy PM	12:25 – 3:25 pm

The Nursery gates are opened at 8.45 am and 12.25 pm. Nursery staff will greet the children and are available to speak to parents and carers to answer brief queries.

 

Reception

Morning session	8:55 am — 12:00 pm
Lunch	12:00 – 1:00 pm
Afternoon session	1:00 – 3:15 pm

 

Year 1 and Year 2

Morning session	8:55 am — 12:00 pm
Lunch	12:00 – 1:00 pm
Afternoon session	1:00 – 3:20 pm

 

The gates to the infant playground are unlocked at 8:45 am to allow access for families. A whistle is blown at 8:50 am to indicate the start of the school day and a senior member of staff remains on duty at the gates until the gates are locked at 8:55 am. Pupils arriving after this time must go directly to the school office.  

Pupils go into their classroom once a member of staff from their year group has come into the playground (for Year 1 and 2) or the Reception courtyard (for Reception).

Pupils should be in their classroom by 8:55 am when the register is taken. 

At dismissal time, gates are opened again at 3:15 pm when parents and carers enter the playground to wait for their child to be dismissed from their classroom. Pupils in Reception are collected from the Reception courtyard. 

 

Year 3, 4, 5 & 6

Morning session	8:50 am — 12:30 pm
Lunch	12:30 – 1:30 pm
Afternoon session	1:30 – 3:25 pm

 

The gates to the junior playground are unlocked at 8:40 am to allow access for pupils. Pupils go directly to their classroom. Families do not enter the junior playground in the morning and should say goodbye at the black gates by school reception. A senior member of staff remains on duty at the gates until the gates are locked at 8:50 am. Pupils arriving after this time must go directly to the school office.  

Pupils should be in their classroom by 8:50 am when the register is taken.  

At dismissal time, gates are opened again at 3:20 pm when parents and carers enter the playground to wait for their child to be dismissed from their classroom.

If there is a change to the usual arrangements for collecting your child at the end of the day, you must inform the school office in writing.  Please note that we can only take direction from a child's own parent or legal guardian.
