Return to School
We are delighted to be welcoming all the children back to school on Monday 8th March.
School attendance is mandatory from this date and all pupils must be in school unless a statutory reason applies.
If your child has been confirmed as clinically extremely vulnerable and remains on the shielding list, please contact the school office to let us know. Please also contact the school office if, on Monday 8th March, your child is self-isolating in line with public health advice because, for example, they have symptoms of, or have tested positive for, COVID-19 or live in a household with someone who has symptoms of, or has tested positive for, COVID-19.
Our Re-opening Procedures and Protocols have been updated in line with current government and public health guidance. You can read the document here.
Return to school Information
Drop off and collection arrangements
We will continue with a staggered timetable for drop off and collection. The Drop off and Collection Arrangements document has been updated and you can read it here. Please note that the drop off time for children in Reception is now 9:05 am and not 9:10 am. Year 5 children will now be dismissed at 3:25 pm and not 3:30 pm.
Social distancing and control measures
Please carefully read the preamble in the Drop off and Collection Arrangements document. We are placing great emphasis on the health and safety of all children and staff in school and ask all our families to observe the national restrictions in place and adhere to appropriate social distancing within the school grounds and when waiting outside the school entrance on the Richmond Road. Families should leave the school site and surrounding area as quickly as possible to relieve any congestion. We ask all parents and carers to wear a face covering at drop off and collection unless they are exempt from doing so because it may not always be possible to keep two metres apart.
Wellbeing
We have put together an information pack of resources to help your child’s transition back into school after this lockdown. You can read it here.
PE kit days
PE kit days remain as they were during the autumn term.
Children should arrive at school in their PE kit on their PE day. They will stay in their PE kit all day and do not need to bring their school uniform to change into. Each year group’s PE day is as follows:
Year 1 - Monday (Cornflower), Wednesday (Foxglove), Friday (Lavender)
Year 2 - Tuesday
Year 3 - Tuesday
Year 4 - Wednesday
Year 5 - Friday
Year 6 - Thursday
Lunches
Lunches for the remainder of the spring term are available to book now on ParentPay. Please see our Healthy Lunches pages for more information and menu details.
Tree Tops
Tree Tops will open on Monday 8th March to families who registered for the spring term in December. We will open bookings for the summer term to all families over the next two weeks. You will receive a ParentPay communication in advance of this with further information.
Extra-curricular clubs
Extra-curricular clubs (lunchtime and after school) will not run during the remainder of the spring term. We are working to offer a limited number of after school clubs for the summer term and you will receive further information on this as soon as the plans are finalised.
Mother Nature Science and Masquerade will be running activities at school over the Easter holiday and we will update the website with details soon.
