Fern Hill School Uniform

Our school uniform is widely available from many different suppliers including Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and most large supermarkets, e.g. Sainsbury's.

The burgundy and embroidered items of our school uniform are supplied and sold by PMG Schoolwear and are available to buy either online at or at the PMG Schoolwear store in Chessington.

Summer Term Uniform


After the Easter break, children may wear a summer uniform of grey shorts with white short sleeved shirt, or burgundy and white striped summer dress.  Children in Years 3 and above should continue to wear their (short sleeved) shirt with a tie. 


PE Kit

Plain white T-shirt or white T-shirt with school logo 
Plain dark coloured shorts or joggers
(NO laces please for children in Reception, Years 1 & 2) 
Dark coloured tracksuit or joggers and sweatshirt for outdoor PE in colder weather

Trainers are not part of school uniform. Velcro or buckle fastening shoes will help your child to be more independent.

No items of jewellery, including earrings, should be worn in school. 

Children may wear sensible, analogue watches from Year 3 upwards. Smartwatches and fitness trackers are not permitted.

Please ensure that all items of clothing, water bottles and lunch bags are clearly marked with your child's name. We will always endeavour to return named items that we find to their owner, if we can identify them. Please work with us to encourage your child to take responsibility for his/her own belongings. 

Lost property

There are two lost property boxes outside school, one in the infant playground at the front of the school which is located next to the fire exit doors and another in the junior playground at the rear of the school which is outside Yew classroom. Items of lost property will be left in these boxes for two weeks after time it will be bagged and put on a outside school reception at the end of every half term. Unnamed items not collected by the end of each half term will be recycled.
