End of Year Message from Mr Scott
Dear Parents,
As we finish another very busy and successful year, I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of all the staff, to thank you all for your continued support. I hope each and every one of your children have had wonderful experiences throughout the year and memories that they will cherish. I hope you all have a restful summer break and your children fell re-energised and are bursting to be back through the school gates in September.
I would also like to say goodbye to all of our year 6 children and their families who are leaving Fern Hill, some of whom have been here for many years. We wish everyone the best in their new secondary schools and hope they carry forward the values learnt and demonstrated at Fern Hill in to their exciting journeys ahead,
Best wishes from all of us to the families who are moving away and leaving us.
Finally, goodbye and good luck to the leaving staff members as they embark on exciting new career adventures. You will be dearly missed by the Fern Hill family, it has been a pleasure to work with you all.
I look forward to seeing you all in September.
Mr.Scott

Healthy Hedge Fund
'Healthy Hedges' fun reaches 100% !!!!
An astounding collaborative effort from our parents , children , staff and community over the last 4 weeks has resulted in us achieving our goal of £7000 for our healthy hedge !!! This initiative has proved to be inspiring for the whole school community and has captured the heart and soul of what we are at Fern Hill .
A huge thanks has to go out to every single member of our community. Through school collections , parent collections , individual child fundraising , class fundraising , donations from local businesses/parents, every person has had a stake in this amazing achievement .
A special mention must go to John Roscoe and his team who back in September raised this as a possible project and made the impossible, possible.
We are hoping to plant in early October and will celebrate this achievement as a whole school when the hedges are in place.
I think you will all agree that through this project our school values of Inspiration , Collaboration , Empathy and Excellence have shone brightly.
We must just mention............
Aryana Year 4 and Sofia Year 2 raised £29.16 doing lots of lovely things and getting their Grandmother involved who kindly sold bookmarks made by her grandchildren to her scrabble group!
Valentina Year 4, Silvia Year 3 and Emmy Year 3 raised a mega £38.60 by selling lemonade, toys and books.
Jotsna Year 6 and Akanksha Year 2 raised £6.80 by selling refreshing cups of Strawberry Ribena!
Max Year 2 raised £28.90
well done everyone!
