- Slapped Cheek - child should remain in school if they feel well
- Hand Foot & Mouth - child should stay at home until symptoms disappear
- Scarlet Fever - child should be kept at home until temperature is normal and blotches clear
- Sickness & Diarrhoea - child should not come to school for 24 hrs after the last bout of sickness
- Thread worms - child should remain in school and receive treatment at home

Parent Pay Activation
As promised before half term, ParentPay will go live this term – parents will be able to order lunches, book clubs, make payments and receive email communication via ParentPay from 12th March 2018.
Activation letters will be sent home in book bags over the next few days. Please look out for these and follow the instructions in order to activate your account and allow us to send you email communication on the new system.
We also ask that all parents set up ParentPay as a payment method: ParentPay accepts MasterCard, Visa and Amex credit cards, and Maestro, Switch, Delta, Electron, Solo and Visa debit cards.
Lunches and clubs for the Summer term will be available to book via ParentPay from 12th March; payments (where relevant) will be required at the time of booking.
If you are unable to set up online payments, then please email email@example.com to make alternative arrangements.
Bounce for Books!
On Friday 2nd March the children will be bouncing for books (literally!) and raising money for their school libraries. A letter and sponsorship form was sent home before half term but if you didn’t get it, copies are attached below. Spare copies of the sponsorship form are also available in school reception by the pigeon holes. Please return your sponsorship form together with any money raised to the PSA post box in school reception by Monday 12th March. Thanks in advance for your support!
Mother’s Day Breakfast
Don’t forget to RSVP for our Mother’s Day breakfast on Friday 9th March. The event will run from 7.45 – 8.45 am and is an opportunity for mums, grandmothers or other significant women to meet up and enjoy a delicious breakfast of cereal, toast, pastries, tea, coffee and juice with their Fern Hill children. This is a free event, funded by the Fern Hill PSA. To ensure we cater for the right number of people, please email your name plus the names and year groups of the children attending to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 5th March. Alternatively, please complete the slip on the attached poster and return it to the PSA post box in school reception. We're sorry but as space is very limited, pre-school children and babies won't be able to come along. All buggies will need to be left outside the Main Hall. Thank you for your understanding.
Well done to year 2 who had the best year group attendance for this week.
Congratulations to Heather class who win the attendance cup this week for 100% attendance!
