Arts Week Exhibition

Our wonderful displays are taking shape, ready to be unveiled to you soon.
Story Telling Week
There was a carnival of colour in the KS1 assembly this morning. The children looked fantastic dressed in their national dress or colours of countries, wearing handmade headdresses and masks. Well done KS1 for such a wonderful effort!
French Story-telling Workshops
As part of our Cultural Story-telling week, all the children in KS1 & KS2 have taken part in a fun, interactive story workshop, conducted entirely in French. Together, the children acted out two different fairy-tales, using both familiar and new phrases. It was encouraging for the children to realise that they could fairly easily follow a familiar story in French. All children immersed themselves in the fun and hopefully felt inspired to one day become confident French speakers.
Please encourage your children to practise their French further, you can utilise the resources on our website. Click the French icon on the right to view.

Lime Class visit to the Buddhist Temple
The children were fascinated by the amazing artwork inside the temple, they learnt a little Thai language and found out about life as a monk. They asked some very interesting questions and were even able to sit in silence for 3 minutes to experience the art of mindfulness! Well done Lime Class.

PSA News
Thank you to all the parents who came along to our annual Quiz Night last Friday, it was a fantastic event and the hall was packed! A huge thank you to our Quiz Masters who gave us a tricky but very fun quiz, complete with wonderful clips of their children performing lines from films; we had to guess the film and the actor who delivered the lines. Well done to the winning team, and commiserations to the team that came second – they have the honour of setting the quiz next year!
Don’t forget that tickets for the KS2 Cinema Night on Friday 9th February go on sale on Monday. This year we will be showing The Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. Doors will open at 5.30 pm for pizza and the film will run from 6.00 – 7.45 pm. Tickets, priced at £2.50, will be on sale outside school reception at drop off only from Monday 5th February to Wednesday 7th February and the ticket price includes a slice of pizza and a drink. Numbers are limited so it’s first come, first served! Parents, please note that Cinema Night is for KS2 children (Years 3 to 6) only.
