We are becoming increasingly aware of children arriving late for school. Please familiarise yourselves with the school start times, as staff will be on patrol from next week! The gates close 5 minutes before lessons begin so please ensure children are in their classroom by the times below.
May we remind parents that we do not allow our children to wear jewellery of any kind to school. If your child has pierced ears please ensure that earrings are removed before they come to school. Any child seen wearing earrings will be asked to remove them. This includes studs. Thank you.
Please ensure your child/ren are suitably dressed for the current cold weather, they do go outside to play everyday if the weather permits, and really do need to to wear appropriate warm coats. Thank you.

Natural History Museum
Year 3 visited The Natural History Museum this week as part of their Volcanoes and Rocks topic. They travelled through the Earth's crust, investigated different fossils and had a great time!
The British Museum
Year 4 had a fantastic trip to the British Museum yesterday.
After a long and cold journey to London, we made it to the museum and enjoyed an interesting and informative workshop on Ancient Egypt and the process of mummification. Children were in awe of the photographs they were shown and couldn't believe how technology and it's advancements have enabled us to see beneath the linen of the mummies and into the actual bodies, bones and all! It was a real eye-opening moment.
Children then had time to explore the galleries, looking at different artefacts and real-life mummies in their sarcophaguses.
Behaviour was outstanding and despite it being a cold and long day, Year 4 showed enthusiasm, engagement and exceptional manners both at the museum and on the journey to and from.
Thank you to the parents who came and supported and well done Year 4!
Mrs Seal, Mrs Lawn and Mrs Tipping
On Tuesday, Year 3 boys competed in a Tag Rugby Festival, against 10 other schools, hosted by Surbiton High Prep School. Although it wasn't a win for us this time, they all showed great sportsmanship, and put in a tremendous effort. For some of the team, it was their first opportunity to represent the school - and they did this with pride.
Well done to all of the boys - Sam, Christopher, Kabir, Finley, Vincent, Daniel and Benjamin.
Quote of the day - "I know we didn't do very well - but it was such good fun taking part and playing all of the games."
