Day 2 at Kingswood

Nixi and Seve update us on the morning...

This morning, we had full English breakfast with cereal of our choice.  Next we went outdoor rock-climbing on the abasing tower. There were two different sections – one was harder than the other because the footholds and handholds were further away than each other. Lots of us tackled the harder one which was challenging but fun. Yahia was the only one to make it all the way to the top.

After that we had a go at fencing. First we learnt the basic ‘en-guard’ stance – for this you had to put your right foot forwards and your left leg was at a 90’ angle from your other leg. By standing like this it meant you could lunge forward quickly but you could also defend yourself. In pairs we then had duels – it was all a lot of fun.

For lunch there was a treat on the menu with chips and chicken nuggets (although there was a salad option as well but none of us opted for this). Everyone was starving because it had been such a busy morning. We have really enjoyed Kingswood and think the activities and instructors are just brilliant!
