Houses of Parliament Trip

Houses of Parliament Trip

Through the eyes of Clara & Josh Year 6

On the 24th and 25th of FEBRUARY, Year 6 went to the Houses of Parliament. Upon arrival, the children learnt about the history of the building. They also got to watch a debate in the viewing gallery of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Some were lucky enough to see David Cameron! Each child who went, participated in a workshop about making laws. Everyone played as a MP to decide whether or not a new law would come to be, as well as spending time doing a quiz during the workshop. Surprisingly, the adults did the best in the quiz! After reaching the end of the day, all the children resisted to go back to school in result of having a good time.
