Fern Hill Primary School

Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to Fern Hill Primary School.

Fern Hill is a friendly and welcoming school where our pupils experience a happy and fulfilling education.  We value every child and encourage all our pupils to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.  We aim to inspire our pupils through a broad, personalised and innovative curriculum. We  are passionate about developing the whole child and instilling an enduring love of learning.

The school has new hall spaces, additional classrooms and a fantastic astroturf pitch.   The school also has well-resourced libraries, art rooms and an ICT suite, all of which significantly enhance and enrich opportunities for learning.   Our courtyard, secret garden with allotment areas and discovery zone, provide a further stimulating environment for all ages.

The school values of Inspiration, Collaboration, Empathy and Excellence are at the heart of everything we look to achieve at Fern Hill.

We are committed to setting high expectations of personal achievement and moral standards. Our '6Rs of Learning' underpin our philosophy of values based learning and encourage pupils to develop life-long learning skills to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Our dedicated and committed team encourages every child to flourish and to feel safe, secure and valued. From nursery through to year 6, our pupils’ happiness and welfare is at the heart of all we do.

The positive support of our parents, families, governors and the local community is very important to us all at Fern Hill and we maintain an open and welcoming environment, where we work in close partnership for the benefit of our children.

I hope you find our website informative.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries or would like to find out more about our school.  Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
